Presentation is everything! The Mexican layered dip has long been a favourite at parties, but now it’s all grown up and has a new look.
This is one of those things that you can whip up if your husband (or wife) calls and says that they’ve invited some friends over for a games night and they will be arriving in ten minutes! I actually keep a container of guacamole in the freezer for just such occasions! (Did I just blow your mind with the information that guacamole can be frozen?!)
The amounts of each ingredient are going to be different depending on the amount of people you have. All you need to do is layer the ingredients in martini glasses and you will wow your guests. Even if you’ve made layered dip a hundred times before, making it this way will make it seem like an entirely different appetizer.
First, add a layer of refried beans (the spicy ones are what we keep on hand). Next, add guacamole, followed by a layer of salsa. On top of the salsa, add a dollop of sour cream and top with a sprinkling of green onions.

- can of refried beans

Layer first the refried beans, then the guacamole, then salsa, then sour cream in a martini glass and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
