This simple crab dip can be served with crackers, tortilla chips or raw vegetables. It’s easy to make and great for parties.
My husband grew up in a home where they didn’t serve seafood so it’s only been as an adult that he’s eaten it. I knew that I had to start slowly when it came to introducing seafood to him. This dip was perfect as it has only a mild seafood taste. He was converted! That was many years ago and I continue to make this for gatherings at our house. It always goes over well.
Simple Crab Dip Recipe:
120 g can of crab meat, drained
8 oz. package of cream cheese, softened to room temperature
2 green onions, chopped
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 red pepper, chopped
1 Tbsp. dijon mustard
Drain crab meat and put into a bowl. Stir in softened cream cheese, half of the chopped green onions, the shredded cheese, chopped red pepper, and dijon mustard. Once these ingredients are well combined, transfer to a serving container and top with the remaining chopped green onions.
Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with crackers, tortilla chips or raw vegetables.
You can make this up to a day ahead if you keep it in a covered container in the fridge.
